          R+EFERENCE ARCHIVE

          was initiated by Marc Frohn, head of the chair Raum&Entwerfen at Karlsruher Institut für Technologie. It was developed by Marc Frohn and Tim Panzer and is currently headed by Irene Gazzillo. This archive offers model photos that can be navigated three-dimensionally as well as plan sets for download of a growing list of built architectural references. New references will be added on a monthly basis. The material is meant to support research and teaching. Models and drawings are produced by students at the architecture school of Karlsruher Institut für Technologie under the supervision of the chair R+E.

          With this privacy policy, the provider of services informs the users about which personal data is processed and for what purposes and to what extent.

          Main legal bases:
          In the following, the provider of services refers to the legal basis in Germany in the form of the Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). On this basis, he processes the personal data. In addition, the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) also applies. This defines, among other things, regulations regarding the right to information, the right of objection and the right to deletion. Further legal principles may apply under certain circumstances. The user of the web pages has the right to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient and purpose of his stored personal data at any time. The user also has the right to demand the correction or deletion of this data.

          Provision of the website offer:
          The provider of services uses the services of the web hosting company Webgo and possibly other web hosting companies. The website offer is made accessible from their servers or from servers that are used by them. The provider of services reserves the right to use their computing and storage capacities as well as security and database services, among other things.
          The data processed in the course of providing the hosting may include all the information that has been gathered from users of the website offer in the course of its use. This includes amongst other information the IP address and all entries made within the websites.

          Collection of access data and log files:
          The web hosting company collects and stores data during all accesses to the server (server log files). This may include, among other things, the date and time of access, the name and address of the web pages accessed, information on the volume of data transferred, browser type and version, the operating system used by the user, referrer URL and host name of the accessing computer.

          Content Delivery Network:
          The service provider works with a “Content Delivery Network” (also called CDN). With the help of the CDN, model photo data in particular is made accessible more securely and quickly with the help of regionally distributed and online networked servers.

          WP statistics:
          Our websites use the WordPress analysis plug-in WP Statistics from the provider wp-statistics.com. Based on the data, basic statistics are generated in anonymized form. No user profiles are created and no cookies are set. All data collected by WP Statistics is completely anonymized. It is stored on the web server on which the websites are hosted. Against this background, users of the websites cannot be personally identified, even retrospectively.

          Newsletter:
          With the consent of the recipient, the provider of services sends newsletters by email. The newsletters contain information about updates of the online project archive and information about the provider of services of the websites. For registration the service provider needs the email address of the recipient.

          Double-Opt-In procedure: The registration for the newsletter is done via the Double-Opt-In-Procedure. After registration, the recipient will receive an email with a confirmation link. Only when the link is clicked on, the recipient is added to the email distribution list. The time details of the registration and confirmation as well as the IP address are saved. Changes to the data stored with the email service company are also saved. This is done based on the legitimate interest of proving that the registration has been completed correctly.

          Cancellation and limitation of processing: A request for cancellation can be made at any time (opt-out). The recipient will find a link to cancel the newsletter at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, the recipient can also use the above-mentioned contact information. The provider o services reserves the right to store deleted email addresses for up to 36 months before deletion. This is done in order to be able to prove a previous declaration of consent in the case of claims made against the provider of services.

          Legal basis: The sending of newsletters and the measurement of success is based on the consent of the recipient in accordance with Article 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 lit. a and Article 7 DSGVO. If this is not required, the legal basis is in the legitimate interest of the provider of services in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO. In the event that the provider of services commissions a company to send e-mails, the provider of services does so on the basis of its legitimate interests of secure and efficient communication in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO. The legal basis for logging is the provider of services` legitimate interest in legal defense in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

          Analysis and performance measurement: The newsletter contains a pixel tag. Pixel tags are invisible graphics that can be used to evaluate certain information. They are collected for statistical purposes.
          The pixel tags are called up by opening the newsletter from the server of the provider of services or the server of the email service company. The following information is collected:
          – IP address,
          – Browser type and version,
          – Retrieval time,
          – operating system,
          – clicked links.
          The information can be used to determine if and when a newsletter was opened and which links were selected.
          The data processing is carried out for the purpose of technical and content-related improvement of the provider of services´ offer.

          Mit dieser Datenschutzerklärung klärt der Diensteanbieter die Nutzer darüber auf, welche personenbezogenen Daten er verarbeitet und zu welchen Zwecken sowie in welchem Umfang er dies tut.

          Wesentliche Rechtsgrundlagen:
          Im Folgenden weist der Diensteanbieter auf die rechtlichen Grundlagen in Form der Datenschutzgrundverordnung (DSGVO) hin. Auf ihrer Basis verarbeitet er die personenbezogenen Daten. Darüber hinaus kommt auch das Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG) zum tragen. Dieses definiert u.a. Regelungen hinsichtlich des Rechtes auf Auskunft, hinsichtlich des Widerspruchsrechtes sowie hinsichtlich des Rechtes auf Löschung. Weitere rechtliche Grundlagen können u.U. Anwendung finden. Der Nutzer der Webseiten hat jederzeit das Recht unentgeltlich Auskunft über Herkunft, Empfänger und Zweck seiner gespeicherten personenbezogenen Daten zu erhalten. Er hat außerdem ein Recht, die Berichtigung oder Löschung dieser Daten zu verlangen.

          Zurverfügungstellung des Webseitenangebotes:
          Der Diensteanbieter nimmt die Dienstleistungen vom Webhosting-Anbieter Strato sowie u.U. weiterer Webhosting-Anbieter in Anspruch. Von deren Servern bzw. von Servern, die von ihnen genutzt werden, wird das Webseitenangebot zugänglich gemacht. Der Diensteanbieter hält sich das Recht vor, u.a. deren Rechen- und Speicherkapazitäten sowie Sicherheits- und Datenbankdienstleistungen zu nutzen.
          Die im Zuge der Bereitstellung des Hostings verarbeiteten Daten können alle diejenigen Informationen umfassen, die von den Nutzern des Webseitenangebotes im Rahmen deren Nutzung angefallen sind. Hierzu gehören u.a. die IP-Adresse und alle innerhalb der Webseiten durchgeführten Eingaben.

          Erhebung von Zugriffsdaten und Logfiles:
          Der Webhostinganbieter erhebt und speichert Daten bei allen Zugriffen auf den Server (Serverlogfiles). Dazu können u.a. Datum und Uhrzeit des Abrufs, Name und Adresse der aufgerufenen Webseiten, Informationen zum übertragenen Datenvolumen, Browsertyp und Version, das vom Nutzer verwendete Betriebssystem, Referrer URL sowie Hostname des zugreifenden Rechners zählen.

          Content-Delivery-Network:
          Der Diensteanbieter arbeitet mit einem „Content-Delivery-Network“ (auch CDN genannt). Mit der Hilfe des CDN werden insbesondere die Modellfotodaten mit Hilfe regional verteilter und online vernetzter Server sicherer und schneller zugänglich gemacht.

          WP-Statistics:
          Unsere Webseiten nutzen das WordPress Analyse-Plugin WP Statistics vom Anbieter wp-statistics.com. Basierend auf den Daten werden in anonymisierter Form grundlegende Statistiken generiert. Es werden keine Nutzungsprofile erstellt und es werden auch keine Cookies gesetzt. Alle von WP Statistics erhobenen Daten werden vollständig anonymisiert. Sie werden auf dem Webserver, auf dem die Webseiten gehostet werden, gespeichert. Nutzer der Webseiten können vor diesem Hintergrund auch im Nachhinein nicht persönlich identifiziert werden.

          Newsletter:
          Mit Einwilligung des Empfängers versendet der Diensteanbieter Newsletter per Email. Die Newsletter enthalten Informationen zu Updates des Online-Projektarchivs und Informationen zum Diensteanbieter der Webseiten. Zur Anmeldung benötigt der Diensteanbieter die Email-Adresse des Empfängers.

          Double-Opt-In-Verfahren: Die Anmeldung zum Newsletter erfolgt über das Double-Opt-In-Verfahren. Im Anschluss an die Anmeldung erhält der Empfänger eine E-Mail mit dem Bestätigungslink. Erst das Anklicken des Links bewirkt, dass der Empfänger dem Email-Verteiler hinzugefügt werden. Die Zeitangaben der Anmeldung und Bestätigung sowie die IP-Adresse werden gespeichert. Gespeichert werden ebenso Änderungen der beim Versanddienstleister gespeicherten Daten. Dies geschieht basierend auf dem berechtigten Interesse des Nachweises des ordnungsgemäßen Ablaufes der Anmeldung.

          Löschung und Einschränkung der Verarbeitung: Die Stellung eines Löschungsantrags ist jederzeit möglich (Opt-Out). Einen Link zur Kündigung des Newsletters findet der Empfänger am Ende jeden Newsletters. Der Empfänger kann alternativ auch die o.g. Kontaktinformation nutzen. Der Diensteanbieter behält sich das Recht vor, ausgetragene Email-Adressen vor dem Löschen bis zu 36 Monate zu speichern. Dies geschieht, um eine vormalige Einverständniserklärung im Fall gegen den Diensteanbieter vorgebrachten Ansprüchen nachweisen zu können.

          Rechtsgrundlagen: Der Versand von Newslettern und die Erfolgsmessung erfolgt auf Grundlage einer Einwilligung des Empfängers gem. Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. a und Art. 7 DSGVO. Sollte diese nicht erforderlich sein, liegt die Rechtsgrundlage im berechtigten Interesse des Diensteanbieters gem. Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Für den Fall, dass der Diensteanbieter einen Dienstleister mit dem Emailversand beauftragt, tut der Diensteanbieter dies auf der Grundlage seiner berechtigten Interessen sicherer und effizienter Kommunikation gem. Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Rechtsgrundlage für die Protokollierung ist das berechtigte Interesse des Diensteanbieters an der rechtlichen Verteidigung gem. Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

          Analyse und Erfolgsmessung: Im Newsletter ist ein Pixel-Tag enthalten. Pixel-Tags sind unsichtbare Grafiken, mit Hilfe derer bestimmte Informationen ausgewertet werden können. Sie werden mit dem Ziel der Statistik erhoben.

          Die Pixel-Tags werden durch das Öffnen des Newsletters vom Server des Diensteanbieters, bzw. dem Server des Versanddienstleisters aufgerufen. Dabei werden folgende Informationen erhoben:
          IP-Adresse,
          Browsertyp und -version,
          Abrufzeitpunkt,
          Betriebssystem,
          angeklickte Links.
          Mit Hilfe der Informationen kann festgestellt werden, ob und wann ein Newsletter geöffnet wurde und welche Links ausgewählt wurden.
          Die Datenverarbeitung erfolgt zum Zweck der technischen und inhaltlichen Verbesserung des Angebotes des Diensteanbieters.
